Parking is kind of complicated:
If you're Just Coming for the Day you park at the Winthrop Rodeo Grounds and take a shuttle to/from the Festival. Or you can bike on the road to the festival. Click Here for Driving Directions to Rodeo Grounds
If you're Camping you drive up Patterson Lake Rd and go about one mile past the festival area (Patterson Lake Cabins) and then turn Right into the camping area. There will be a shuttle going to and from the camping area and the festival area or you can bike down the road or hike down a 1/4 mile trail.

If you're staying at Sun Mountain Lodge drive up past the festival area and go to the end of Patterson Lake Rd to the Lodge and park there. We will have a shuttle going to and from the lodge and the festival area or you can bike or hike down to the stage area from the lodge.

If you're in one of the bands or a volunteer you drive up Patterson Lake Road toward the Patterson Lake Cabins but you pull off on the left side of the road just after the Patterson Lake Boat Ramp Parking area to check in with a volunteer there before heading either to the cabins/stage Area or to your volunteer location.

Heading West on Highway 20 from Twisp (19 minutes):
Continue on Highway 20 (5.7 miles) until Twin Lakes Road.
Turn left on Twin Lakes Road.
To Festival Day Parking: Stay on Twin Lakes road 1.3 miles until Brengman Rd. Turn left onto Brengman and park at the Methow Valley Rodeo Grounds. Take the festival shuttle to the Festival Grounds.
To Festival Grounds/ Festival Camping or Sun Mountain Lodge/: Stay on Twin Lakes Road 2 miles and turn left onto Patterson Lake Rd. The Rendezvous Festival is 4.7 miles up the road on your left hand side at Patterson Lake Cabins. Camping is 1 mile up Patterson Lake Road past the Festival Grounds. Sun Mountain Lodge is past the Festival Camp Grounds up Patterson Lake Rd. another mile. Shuttle service to the festival grounds is available from the Festival Campgrounds and Sun Mountain Lodge.
Heading East on Highway 20 from Mazama (33 minutes):
Continue on Highway 20 (13.2 miles) thru the town of Winthrop*
At the four way stop in Winthrop take a right onto Riverside Ave. and follow Highway 20 thru town and to the right across the bridge.
Just after the bridge go straight towards Winthrop PT and Fitness rather than following Highway 20 around to the left. You'll be on Twin Lakes Road. Stay on Twin Lakes Road (3 miles) until Patterson Lake Road.
* If you are coming to the Rendezvous Festival Saturday May 12th, in the late morning, Riverside Ave. thru downtown Winthrop will be closed from 11am-12pm for the 49er Day Festival Parade! The detour is to follow the West Chewuck road all the way up to the East Chewuck and back into town (this is a 13mile detour). We highly recommend you park and enjoy the parade!

parking & Shuttle Service
There are two main parking lots for the festival. One is just for folks camping and will be about one mile further up Patterson Lake Rd on the right hand side near the Festival Campgrounds. And the other main parking lot will be for folks just coming for the festival but not camping or staying at Sun Mountain Lodge and will be at the Methow Valley Rodeo Grounds- Parking is free. All on site parking requires a permit, and if you're camping you'll need a $30 camping pass per tent or vehicle, click here for more info about Camping. There is permit parking for bands, vendors and volunteers near the site as well.
We will have a free shuttle service to take you to and from the festival site. Shuttle service begins at 3pm Friday May 11th and goes until 12am, and then is available from 8am Saturday May 12th until 12am.
There is a 1/4 mile trail from the main parking lot to the stage area at Patterson Lake and there will be a shuttle to/from the parking area to the stage area.
No parking along Patterson Lake or any undesignated areas. Please follow the signs and instructions from parking staff.
